After those two weeks I am exhausted, but in a good way :-)
The Junior Camp really followed the message of Journey and one day had a Journey of the Cross.
What would Jesus have worn |
What smells - when Mary washed Jesus feet |
How much would you sell out your friends for? |
Communion |
The rope that tied Jesus up - what it would have felt like |
The cross |
Say cheese! |
For Jr. High, I am going to paraphrase a message Pastor Phin posted on FaceBook:
Adverse Circumstances - Heat in triple digits with temperaments to match
Entangling Relationships - Rookie director with 5 cabin leaders from Sr. High Camp and an additional assortment of adults; 51 campers of varying backgrounds sharing a small space to beat the heat + a rookie Director of Camping Ministries!
Mistakes - We got over it and moved on.
And we overcame them all and pressed on to NIKE! VICTORY!
Keep on moving forward, for WE ARE OVER-COMERS!
It has been a very rewarding and exhausting couple of weeks. God has worked miracles in campers, volunteer leaders and staff! I love this job :-)

Proof of heat and humidity.....cold camera meets the warm air! This is our group photo :-( |
We were here over the 4th! |
Am sitting here with one the campers in the group photo! She liked the Journey of the Cross.
ReplyDeleteYou have had challenges with the weather and being your first time through for sure. No matter what the challenges isn't every day up at Camp Tamarack a good one?
Am glad to see God at work in the lives of youth and adults through camp. Keep it up!
